Today in Kenya, we are planting 200 million trees in a single day as part of our plan to plant 15 billion trees in 10 years. We have also said we are not just planting these trees today, from Monday, this exercise will continue ministry by ministry on a daily basis for the next six months. Every ministry will be in charge of a day for planting trees so that we achieve our target in time and mobilise our communities to understand the importance of managing the environment. We want our development to be on a sustainable basis by making sure that as we develop ,we develop in harmony with our environment.
